Security Camera Torn Down Amid Divorce, Home Sale — Criminal Mischief (Misdemeanor)

Incident #26-03861 | Reported July 4, 2026 | 700 block of Grant County Road 43, Sheridan

Zachary Woodall, 40, reported that someone tore down the security camera mounted on the northeast corner of his home sometime between July 1 and July 4. Woodall told Deputy Rick Stephenson it was the only camera on the property and that its placement made it possible for someone to approach from behind and knock it down without being caught on video. Woodall said the home is currently part of a divorce proceeding and is listed for sale, and that he doesn't want anyone tampering with the property while it's on the market. The camera was valued at $200. No suspect has been identified.

Canard then produced a handgun and put it to McTigrit's head, according to the report. McTigrit said he did not fight back. A 22-year-old passenger, identified in the report as Aiden Robinson, was also in the vehicle.

McTigrit called his mother to pick him up once the group reached Canard's residence. He later provided deputies with photos of his injuries — described in the report as a bloody nose, split lip, a ruptured eye vessel, a forehead laceration, and bruising on his neck — along with screenshots of a social media conversation referencing the incident. A 9mm handgun was logged into evidence. Canard faces a felony charge of aggravated assault.
