Sheridan officials are pushing back on a state-driven plan to merge the city's water system with two rural associations.
In Sheridan Water and Sewer Committee's July 27 meeting, the sewer committee opted to tell regulators they'd rather sell water than share control.
The city received a letter dated July 6, 2026, from the Arkansas Department of Health Chief Engineer Craig S. Corder to William Perilloux with McClellan Consulting Engineers, Inc.
